We get "Blown away" by Gigawire instead of a 1Ghz CPU?
Or "Even big by our standards" is referring to a Larger LCD display?
Maybe the part that says where no PC has gone before refers to the Mac extending beyond one CPU - and shared by more than one interface/access onto the desktop. May where a handheld Screen share the same desktop as a desktop unit.
What if a backstage pass to the future refers to a new Mac that can easily be upgraded with newer faster processors that will be produced in the future. Maybe some sort of externally accessible modular add on?
Just think about it . . .
