Circled Hiragana type in Illustrator (CS5)

Hello,

The Hiragino Mincho Pro (Japanese) typeface includes special Circled Hiragana characters. You can see them if you show the complete repertoire in Font Book.

How do I access these in Adobe Illustrator? The Character Palette doesn't show them. Alternatively is there another app that I can type them in?
