Classic Apple TV not showing up on iTunes 10

I have this on a "sometimes" basis. I have found that if I start playing anything that is streaming, the old Apple TV reappears after a minute or two.
 
i had similar issue.

1) I disconnected the library from apple tv.
2) I deleted all preferences related to iTunes, and restarted iTunes on my Mac.
3) It showed up and re-paired with keys/number.
 
I had to restart the MBP and Apple TV after installing iTunes 10, then it all sprang into life.
 
It worked fine for me when I upgraded. Although I have seen it drop off before. I usually just hard boot the Apple TV and it shows up again.
