Hi folks,

I'm trying to figure out how to embed an image (or several) into the text in illustrator, like the example below.

Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to achieve this?

Sure. Get your type laid out and set up how you want it to read. Place (Menu: File>Place) your image over the type, shift the image to the back of the stack, behind the type, by Menu: Object>Arrange. Then, selecting image and type together, then Menu: Object>Clipping Mask>Make.
