is there a way to try an app, before installing it on my IOS device ?

I don't think so, you can try searching the app store, a lot of apps have a free version that has less features, but would let you try it out.
 
he never mentioned anything about being worried about the price...
getting a lite version would involve installing an app.

the only way you can do this is if you are the developer, then you can load it into iphone simulator.

obviously, he/she wants to demo the app before paying. yes, you would have to "install" the lite app, but he/she could delete if he/she wasn't satisfied.

That's what he technically said, but he wants to try out apps before purchasing...

he specifically said a downloaded app, meaning he already downloaded it, and in that case purchased it.

yeah, but it's probably safe to assume that he meant trying an app before buying it as that would make the most sense. In which case there is no way to do it unless there is a lite version of the app.

It seams there are some discousions about what I meant.

I was wondering that if it was possible to try out the applications I have downloaded on my computer before installing them on my IOS device.

I was saying so because I have a lot of free apps on my macbook but I do not have yet an ipod or ipad, and I wanted to delete those who were maybe not in my interest after all.
