The top down view of the keyboard at http://www.apple.com/macbookair/ shows an eject button on the keyboard next to the power key. This thing doesn't have an optical drive, so what is this for??

And theirs no keyboard backlight control keys either which are usually at f5 & f6...

A press and hold should bring up a HUD giving you the option to eject network mounts, disk images, ipods and external disks.

I've suggested this in the past. A dedicated key for optical media is silly.

That's 'cause there's no backlit keyboard on the new Air's anymore. :( :( :( :(

The older macbook air's had it as well, I think the main point of it is for external drives.

Yeah. If you're using the External Superdrive, you need an eject Button. But I've owned an Air for 2.5 years and used the superdrive like 3 times. :D

What a pointless key... does command + E not do the same thing?
