I wonder if the Mac app store will give apple an opportunity to distribute iBooks on to a desktop?

With this new "fullscreen" apps direction, and the nice interface for projects in iPhoto 11, I'm really hoping iBooks will make its way to the desktop.

Anybody think this is likely?

I am not sure if it's likely or not...you never know w/ Apple, but, I too am really hoping for this!!!! I would really like to purchase an iPad, but one thing still kind of holding me back is iBooks. I wan to be abel to read a book on my MacBook Pro, send it to my iPad or iPhone to read and transfer it back. The fact that you can't read or purchase iBooks through iTunes on a computer really frustrates me!
