I'm considering buying a Samsung 912N 19" LCD monitor for use with my 12" PowerBook. First of all, it just says "Analog" input, I assume that means I can connect it with my mini DVI to VGA adaptor, right?

Also, dumb question, but I was wondering, do people find that 1280 x 1024 resolution makes text too small? Right now I'm using 1024 X 768 on the PB, and that seems like a good size to me. Obviously you can make text bigger in whatever app you're using, but isn't that a pain?

Mini DVI -> VGA will be exatly what you need. 1280x1024 on a 19" isn't very small at all, it's actually pretty big!

Duff-Man says....if you just want to "mirror" the iBook display there is no problem at all, just plug and play. If however you want to use a second monitor as additional workspace you need to "hack" the open firmware....oh yeah!

If the budget can afford it, look at the Dell 2001FP or 2005FPW. With coupons and discounts it can be had for $500 to $600. I am using the 2001FP on my PB 12" at 1600x1200 and love it!
