I've been given a PowerBook G3. I'm not sure which version it is or anything. But its a PowerBook G3 because it says on the screen.
How do i find out exactly what machine i've been given and what wireless card to have a look for.
I wouldnt mind spending a couple of quid on ebay for an old second hand airport card just for fun really.

thanks in advance.

ps. its got os9 on atm.
i've got an old osx10.1 disk somewhere i might try and update it a little.

The easiest way to figure out what model is by what ports it does or doesn't have. Does it have USB ports? If not, then look to see if its got one or two expansion bays. If its got just one, then you have the original "Kanga" Powerboo G3. If 2 bays, then its a Wallstreet/PDQ. If it does have them but no Firewire ports, its a Bronze keyboard (aka Lombard). And finally, if its got both Firewire and USB ports, you've gotten lucky and was given the last and greatest Powerbook G3, the Pismo.
