I just purchased a new 17" iMac and have come to find that I have no picture when I turn it on. I just opened it and the turned it on and the screen went white and then nothing it got bright like it was going to shwo a picture but nope sure didn't. No picture. The music started playing to welcome you to your new computer and so you can register it. But still no picture. Any ideas what's wrong?
 
Call Apple NOW!!!! You might have a problem with your video card, or something more serouis! They will know best, man that sucks!
 
if you just purchased it, the apple service warrenty will obviously still be vaild.

return the defective hardware or trade it in for another one.
