if i want to watch a movie and i'm worried about the resolution and all i'll just go out and buy a DVD or Blu-Ray.however, i want to use the new Apple TV to play whatever porn i have on my mac on my TV in the living room.

do i have to convert all the files on my mac to play all that? this sucks! am i better off buying the old ATV? what's the best solution? isn't there an easy way to play whatever i have on my mac on the new ATV?
