Noob question, how to start terminal from a custom key

Heey all, I've got a very stupid question.

I'm pretty new to OSX but I can't find out to start the terminal with the F19 key on my keyboard.

I did go to -> system preferences -> keyboard -> keycombinations
and add the terminal with F19 by applications but that doesn't seem to work.

Can anyone help me out with this problem?

I use Quicksilver for this type of stuff. You set it up as a "trigger". The keyboard shortcuts only work if there's a menu command, and since there's no menu command to launch Terminal, that won't work.
