Every time my imac wakes up from sleep it freezes for 5 - 10 seconds, this is very very annoying 😡
Does anyone know how to stop this? im running snow leopard and my imac isn't even 1 year old :/
I have no idea what could be causing this, i have cleared caches, logs, the works but nothing helped

thanks in advance guys (and gals....maybe....) 🙂

My imac does the same thing. I think that its waiting for the hard drive to spin up to speed. I noticed after I replaced the hard drive. I wonder though if there is a solution to this?

Same issue here on my new iMac. I also think it might have something to do with the internal HDD having to spin up. Not hugely annoying, but strange nonetheless. For what it's worth, checking or unchecking the "Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible" box has no effect.
