According to engadget, Sandy Bridge is supposed to release on Jan 5th at CES.

If this is the case, when do you guys think SB will be released on MBP? and will the 13" MBP also get an upgrade to SB?

Just want some thoughts.

The 13' MBP should by right get the SB update this time, the C2Ds currently are just too old. C2Ds are also going to be EOL'd by the time SB comes out, so i don't think Apple will want to continue using C2D unless they have a massive stock. The best prediction would be from Feb to Mar 2011, although no one can tell you definitely.

This isn't really a new piece of news. CES has always been the most likely time for SBs and now it's official. nVidia announced that they are no longer making chipsets so Apple has to give 13" something else. One option is AMD Fusion.

Jan. 4th. Which is a Tuesday.

P.S. Nooo! Not AMD!!! Well, not for the CPU, anyway. AMD-GPU it away, Apple, but stick with the Intel CPUs please. Preferably the quads.
