It was pointed out in the Globe and Mail the other day, and something I see when talking to people, that unfortunately with the new products Apple has completely missed the price point in Canada.
The problem is that we have the same "impulse" price points as the US, but in Canadian dollars. So when Apple does the price conversion and puts the small Mac Mini at $629, and the small iPod Shuffle at $129 (CDN), they are now priced above that sweet spot that's so important for an impulse buy.
Note that is actually a fair price on the current currency conversion rates, but misses the psychological "under $500 or under $100" that is so important.
I'm not sure how it works in a place like the UK, whether the currency change works in Apple's favour, or if there's a similar problem.

One glitch: iMac G5 is categorized there as being a high-end, low-demand product. It's actually the best selling Mac. (Until, I suspect, the Mac Mini plows past it.)
I also don't think the whole thing was planned in such detail from start to finish by Apple. I do think they implemented those KINDS of strategies, as the opportunity arose.
But basically a nice, concise chart!
