Will my old powerbook ram (g4) work in my friends IBM thinkpad?

The thinkpad is a t30. The only difference that I see in the ram is that mine is 2700 and his is 2100. Will that still work?
 
Faster RAM will slow down to work in a slower computer, but slower RAM will not speed up to work in a faster computer.

DDR RAM will not work in a non-DDR computer.
