2009 quad 2.66 refurb price dropped!

http://store.apple.com/us/product/FB...co=MTEzMzA3MDk

now 2039 up to last week it was 2119. i still think this one below a 2010 quad 2.8 at 2119 is the better deal

http://store.apple.com/us/product/FC...co=MTkyMTM1OTY

for 80 bucks more a 2.8 instead of 2.66
a 1tb hdd instead of 640gb
a built in airport extreme

I was surprised apple kept trying to get 2119 for the 09 at least they lowered it to 2039 instead of upping the 2010 refurb!

And you get ATI 5770 in 2010 model which runs circles around the GT 120

B&H is still selling new 2.66 Mac Pro's for $1899 with free shipping. Might be the better deal.

Yeah, if you want the 2009, don't get it from Apple, get it from B&H for only $1899.

I just picked up the 2010 2.8 from the refurb store. Everytime I went in a laughed at Apple pricing the 2009 model at the same price. No wonder the 2010 kept coming and going, yet the 2009 model hasn't budged.

Looking at B&H, I'm shocked they offer the Mac Pro Applecare for only $179!?! Is this is lowest "retail" price out there?

Loving my new 2010!

Definitely the 2009 reburbs from the Apple Store are a bad deal. The crappy video card, small hard drive, lack of wifi and lack of the ability to upgrade to a more modern processor later are for sure not worth the couple of hundred bucks or less that a 2010 reburb costs there.

Cost Central $1663 free shipping, brand new, not refurb.

They must be running out of stock though. It used to say hundreds in stock but now it says "Special Order".
