Would an Airport Express fix this problem?

Whenever I'm playing an online game on my Xbox 360 and my telephone rings, I am automatically disconnected from Xbox Live. My router and everything are downstairs, almost directly below my 360 which is using the wifi.

Would buying an Airport Express fix this? I'm thinking maybe it'll boost the wifi strength? I don't know, I'm not very skilled when it comes to internet stuff and I'm not quite sure why I'd be disconnected every time the phone rings. Anyone?

It sounds as if the phone is a wireless phone that uses the 2.4Ghz band. I'd say replace the phone with one in a different band.

There's no way to fix it without buying a new phone?

You could unplug the coreless phone and it's base. Then call your house and see if it drops. If it does, then the phone isn't the problem.

I had this very same problem, except it would disconnect all computers on my home network. It was really annoying! We ended up getting a new phone and the problem went away.
