I was at the Apple Store online, and PowerMacs 2.5 ghz are now shipping in 5-7 days. Could this mean that IBM is having better luck at achieving higher speeds for the G5 chip?

Could be or they could be having supply problems again...

Well it has been at 1-2 weeks forever, so I was thinking that this could signify success with the G5 chip

I guess the current demand is not as high as the initial demand. People who need and afford a Dual 2.5GHz mostly already own one.

Well that was my initial thought as well, but PowerMac updates should be happening soon. That would coincide with higher chip speeds, possibly, and a good indication of this is if more 2.5 ghz chip speeds are being reached/produced which indicates, possibly yet again, a larger supply even though the demand is the same.
