Making site and need skills

I'm having my website developed by a friend and as of yet have no experience in graphics and such.

I'm looking to become more competent in this area, any good links to good online tutorials or videos etc?

Thanks

Have you googled it? If you search for "web design tutorial" or "HTML tutorial" you get literally millions of hits.

I'm guessing you are interested in Photoshop skills/tutorials:

www.good-tutorials.com is a large database of tutorials.

It has tutorials on other programs as well, it used to be a Photoshop only tutorial website, but now has expanded to a wide array of great programs that are essential for graphic designers.
