iPhone 3G 4.2.1 Jailbroken - NO WiFi?

hello all,
i have a redsn0w jailbroken iphone 3g running 4.2.1. everything is running smoothly except the iphone never 'sees' any wifi signals; it worked fine prior to this update. any ideas out there? thank in advance yo.

Did you use the latest version of redsn0w to jailbreak?

Try resetting network settings, it's worth a shot.

i used 0.9.6b4, should i try a different version perhaps?

dont laugh, this happened to a friend.. wrap the phone in a towel and throw it in the freezer turned off for 15-20 min..

google "3G/S not detecting wifi" and you should see this trick mentioned a number of times.

just tried this and had no luck detecting wifi 🙁
