iPod Purchasing Nano off craigslist, have serial # can Apple tell me if its stolen?

If it is reported stolen to Apple, then yes. If not you might try www.appleserialnumber.info or some other sites, but they only work if something is reported stolen and not many people might use such service to register their products as stolen.
