umm perhaps you are right, well im trying to have folder icons in my stacks folders in the dock. i ve attached a pic of the stacks folders i have in my dock, and i point with a red arrow the folder i want it to have a different folder icon, a custom one... i hope i make more sense now! 😉

After you have customized the folder icon, then drag that folder to the Dock, which will create an alias with the same icon. Right-click on the folder in the Dock and select "Display as" > Folder
no need for screenshots, i got what u meant before, im referring to the label colors provided for folders, why wont those colors (red, purple, yellow, green, blue etc.) work when you place a colored folder in the dock

If you're referring to the colors shown in this screen capture, found by right-clicking a folder, those colors are for the label, not the folder. Labels don't show in the Dock, only a mouse-over name.
