There have been several threads about it before that you could search for, but the main reason is that the buyers guide is based on the average time between updates. The iPad has not been updated yet, so there is no information to base that average on.

Because the Buyer's guide doesn't have any first generation device, due to what previews posters just explained.

If you want one, go get it, iPad2 won't be here until mid Q22011, and even them you can sell yours and get the new one for $100 or so, (think about it like a $100 rent for 4 to 6 months, about $20/month, not a bad deal if you ask me)
