USB 2.0 card doesn't work.....just bought it

hello, i just purchased a USB 2.0 PCI card, and i put it in my computer, and tried it with a USB 1.0 device, and i got nothing, i'm pretty sure it doesn't pick it up in the profiler. anyways, post your suggestions

What brand/type of card? What kind of Mac and which OS?

Have you been to the manufacturer's website to see if there's any useful info there?

Why did you get that particular card? Did someone recommend it to you?

What brand is the card and did it come with drivers for OS X? If it came with drivers did you install them?

USB 2.0 card generally need to have drivers installed for them to work.
*Not all cards work in OS X.

Unless it's got an NEC chipset on it it probably won't work without additional drivers. AFAIK Mac OS X only has the drivers for the NEC chipsets built-in to the OS.
