From what i understand , and i might be wrong, i do have all those SHSH for those versions of OS firmware, which will help me downgrade the OS version from 4,2,1 to 4.0 or so... however this will not help me to unlock it at this point due to my basebend : 3.10.01..

Am i correct?

and if i will downgrade my Iphone 4 to lets say 4.0, is it possible to Jailbreak it to be Untethered ? Or its all about the basebend?

Download and run Tinyumbrella
http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=9194
After you follow this above click "start TSS server"
Then download the 4.1 ipsw for your phone from here: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=750
And then shift or option restore on itunes and select the 4.1 you downloaded. All while TU is still running in the back thruout the whole process.
