Small error in the article: the mini does have a speaker. Just not a very good one.

One of the cons of the Mini is that there is no audio input, but over at Arstechnica, someone said that the audio output has input capability also. Can anyone else confirm this?

Can't confirm this, but it got mentioned in an article recently, along with a 111Mb photo!..AFAIK it's a line out/headphone only socket, but it does seems strange on a Garageband equipped machine if it is.

PS. Apple Uk website says audio...headphone/line out...NO mention of a line in

3rd party solutions are available, such as Griffin's iMic

Thanks, but I know that, as I got one on order for my neighbour 29.99 off Amazon UK...he's got a Quicksilver/550 TiPowerBook...and needs to hook up to his Yamaha piano headphone/line out, MIDI Concert Piano sucks in basic Garageband, although when JP4 arrives here, we will be checking out the orchestral suites.

For a Very Good 4/5 system, those marks seem kind of low doesn't it? I mean if you took those numbers, you'd get a little under 40% which is more like 2/5 than 4/5.

I suppose those PC guys are now realizing that a computer can be more than the sum of it's parts.
