Alright, so I was taking apart my 1st generation iPod Touch in order to fix my broken home button when I accidentally snapped off the headphone jack pulling out the bottom part of the logic board. >.< Consequently, when I put my iPod Touch back together, the sound was no longer working.

There's a picture here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/15708566/IMG_20101229_032222.jpg

The missing spot on the bottom right of the iPod in the picture is where that small piece on the right is supposed to go, but when I just put it where it belongs and screw it in, it doesn't work. Any solutions?

Yeah, but I don't see why putting the piece back into where it normally is and screwing it in doesn't fix it? Everything that's normally connected to it is connected.
