I did the whole putty knife thing but let me make a suggestion:
Get a putty knife thinner than 50mm!!!
It put SLIGHT marks in the plastic.
As for performance..MUCH better, but one thing,
Xbench said my previous memory performed better. (256), by roughly 15 points, and I tested several times. Interesting, must be that this crucial 1gig is a slower speed.
