Hi,

I am trying to do something very simple I feel. Basically, when I quick look a document like a .pdf or an .xlsx for example I want the enlarged icon to show up instead of the contents of the document, "sometimes"... not all the time, i.e. keystroke?

Thanks

Well here is the situation...

If I hit the space bar I get the contents of the file previewed... I want to see the actual icon, not the contents...

Thanks

That's not what Quicklook is intended for, so I can't imagine there's a built-in way to do that.

Why would you want to see a blown-up image of a generic document icon?

Well the only reason is...

I like looking at a blown up icon every once in a while. Why I ask is because it shows the icons of documents it can't preview...

Laters...

Well, if you could keep an intentionally corrupted file around of each type you want to view...

I'm confused..still..about what you want.

But I'm thinking whatever it is cannot be done..

Perhaps enlarging the icon size would be best for you. There's no simple way to do this with QL that I've ever seen.
