Is there any way to turn off mouse acceleration? I tried looking for it on the Mac at the Apple Store but could only find settings for mouse speed and double click. I can't get used to the mouse when it goes so slow on small movements and accelerates on big movements. I want a linear mouse speed setting.

Why don't you try USB Overdrive? This program, which works on Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X 10.2 and later (there are three versions - one for Mac OS 9, one for Mac OS X 10.2, and one for Mac OS X 10.3), unlocks several mouse configuration options you may not know existed for all mice, regardless of manufacturer.
