I upgraded my iPhone 4 to 4.2.1 recently and i miss my jailbreak. Can someone tell me the easiest way to downgrade back to 4.1 so i can jailbreak again.

If you like, you can stay on 4.2.1 and do a tethered Jailbreak using Redsn0w. Just go to the iphone dev team blog.
So with tethered everytime i download a app on cydia i just have to have my phone plugged into the computer??
You only need to have your iphone plugged into your computer when your iphone needs to reboot. So, if the app you install with cydia requires a reboot, you will have to connect the phone to a computer to turn on the phone again. Not all apps on cydia requires a reboot.

Wow that guide has some issues.
Step 2 can be eliminated completely.
Step 3 is nice to know but can be eliminated as they demonstrate later by using tinyumbrella it will edit the hosts file for you anyway.

Maybe to you but i've never downgraded before and this guide was perfect.I did everything it says and it worked.
Thats all that matters to me.
I don't understand why the guides say you have to be in DFU mode when TU won't even recognize a device that's in DFU mode. I always just use TU to put the phone into recovery, turn on the TSS server, fire up iTunes, Shift-Restore and voila....downgraded.
