I noticed my MBP was heating up a little bit and wanted to try Fan Control...shortly after I installed it I wanted to delete it, but since it was a .pkg file I couldn't really 'delete' it. So Basically all I did was remove my preference pane, but my fans are still staying at the speeds the program set them to - my question is: How do I get my fans back to the way they should be?

I've tried resetting the SMC with no luck.

I figured a restart would've fixed it, but I guess not.
Reinstall the program, set the fans to "default" then delete the program. Thats what I did

I'm assuming you're referring to Fan Control and not SMCFanControl?

For Fan Control remove:

/Library/StartupItems/FanControlDaemon
/Library/PreferencePanes/Fan Control.prefPane

If you didn't move the sliders back to the default location when you uninstalled Fan Control then yes you would reset SMC.
