im running snow leopard, and i'd like to use my imac as a file server for several computers. ive setup the folder to have r/w permission for all the other accounts of the computers connected. problem is everytime another account opens a file it changes the permissions to r/w for that account only and read only for the rest.
i work with CAD drawings and everytime my drafter edits a file i have to change its permission so i can edit it.
i have a small hd connected to my airport extreme and the files there always defaults to r/w everyone. is this behaviour possible on a mac machine ? that is, have a folder to act like an external HD.
some help would be very much appreciated...
