Will Mac OS X 10.5 run on a PowerMac G5 2.3ghz?

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if mac os x 10.5 will run on a powermac G5 2.3ghz without being slow?

Yes, it will run just fine as long as you've got at least 2GB of RAM.

about that, i have trouble using more then 1gb of ram, just cant get up there. uses 400mb freshly booted.

ATM i am writing this from my Powerbook g4 1GHZ and 1.25 ram. Things could be better speedwise but after it picks up speed is just fine. But i only use it for emails, music and browsing.

Cant imagine that a G5 will have any problem running anything with 2gb RAm or more. It should be very fast.

I'm running it on a 800Mhz iMac G4 with 768MB of RAM, and surprisingly it runs great. Boots as fast as my PowerMac running leopard.

Of course Leopard will run fast on a Powermac G5 2.3GHz. It could either be a dual processor or a dual core. With enough memory it will be fluid.
