higher iBook screen resolutions

Is there any way I can make the screen on my iBook G3 (Dual USB) run higher than 1024x768? I'm not sure if there is, but I would love to be able to if I could.

I believe that is the max resolution for the 12" iBooks. Not sure about the 14" but I think it has the same resolution as well. I think that a higher resolution on a 12" would be too small anyway (at least for my eyes).

Nope, it's limited to 1024x768.

but does anyone make a 12" LCD that i could swap out to get a higher res?

Because i think the lack of resolution falls directly on the LCD panel itself.

But if you could, would you really want to fit something like 1600x1200 in those 12 inches 😱 😛 😛

The 1024x768 is the intrinsic resolution of the screen, ie the *only* res it works at. The lower resolution are yukky interpolations.

You're only solution is to add an external screen w/ the spanning screen hack...

Toshiba has a 12-inch Tablet PC with a 1400-by-1050 Resolution. Pretty Cool.

The 15-inch PowerBook G4 should be bumped up to 1680-by-1050
and
The 17-inch PowerBook G4 should be bumped up to 1920-by-1200

i know others alluded to the answer, but it's physically impossible. the screen only has 1024 x 768 physical pixels.
