A friend of mine gave me this website, americanmusical.com , where he purchased his powerbook and got a payment plan, no tax, and free shipping. Has anyone had experience with this site. I am not in the market for a new computer but this might help some people who want one now but dont have the money just yet. 🙂 They also have powermacs. search for "apple powerbook". or "apple powermac" if that is what you want. I promise I have no affiliation with this site just seemed like a good site.
 
AMS is a great company. I play guitar and bass and have bought lots of stuff from them. I like AMS a lot better than the other big Web music retailer, Musician's Friend. Their shipping is more reliable and their customer service is better (it's excellent). The "three easy payments" feature is legit, except remember the first payment is immediate, so it's really two extended payments.
