I was uninstalling Steam from my iMac and I looked at this:

Screen shot 2011-02-17 at 20.34.04.png

I don't know if this was a built in script by Steam or Apple introduced this mechanism to delete the files from the Application Support and preferences folder.

The weird thing is that I don't delete Applications through the finder. Even now, I deleted the Applications using the terminal:

Code:
rm -rf /Application\ Support/Steam/

Also, I did delete the Application Support folder for steam as well.

I'm running:
Mac OS 10.6.6 on my iMac.

Hey, I am aware of that. I have a perl script to do that by the away.

I was trying to make a point that Apple might have added an inbuilt feature to delete system files which most of the users don't see otherwise.
That message comes from the app, not Mac OS X.

How what? Mac OS X wouldn't identify application files as "game content". That comes from Steam. In fact, if you Google the text of that pop up message, you'll find it mentioned on the Steam site.

Ah! crap. I feel foolish. :|

Thanks for pointing that out to me.
