Pages 09 - textboxes and images - driving me mad!

Hi, I hope someone can help as this is driving me mad!

I have been completing a large piece of work (16,000 words) with various images interspersed within. To make things look more presentable I have completed each section as a table on its own taking no more than a page. This makes the images within the text align a lot better and allows me to use columns. However I could not find a way to make captions for the images so I had to painstakingly make individual text boxes with each image and align them underneath the image. However, because these are not linked I cannot insert any new pages above/below etc. Does anybody know how I can link the textboxes and images together so they will move together when I insert a new page. (and bearing in mind they are within a table). I have looked everywhere online but I can't find anything.
If this is not possible any suggestions???

Thanks for reading!!
