My wife is leaving for Frankfurt Germany tomorrow, bringing the iPod for the flight. My question is regarding the time zone setting. Does anyone know which setting is correct for Frankfurt Germany? I know that they are in the CET (Central European Time Zone) but that is not an option.

Also... when we went to Ireland they were not so keen on my using my iPod, the flight attendant did not seem to know what it was and asked me to please not use it during the flight (picturing the episode of the Simpson's with Bart and the GBA.. hehe). Does anyone know if iPods are fine for flight?

Some general nonsense about her going...

1. Yes she is going alone, well with a work companion.
2. Yes I am jealous of her.
3. Yes I am sad to see her go.
4. It is for work so I guess I am not that jealous.
5. Sigh, she is taking my iPod and leaving me with the old clunky 2G iPod.
6. We just got a new Cannon Elph to add to our toy collection, she is taking that too... boo...

I am sure she will have lots of fun.

Thanks to anyone who can answer my time zone question.

iPods are fine (indeed, ideal) in flight. She may get asked to switch it off for take-off and landing.
