Tinyumbrella error: hosts is not writable!
For those who have this problem:
"Cannot Start TSS service DO NOT TRY RESTORING YOUR DEVICE!!! /etc/hosts is not writable!" And have corrected other possible error sources like missing hosts file or no write permissions: Remove the .txt extension on the hosts file (valid for mac and mabey also for windows). (For those who cannot edit the host file on a mac due to insufficient privileges and donīt want to use terminal....do the following: move/copy the hosts file to another folder, there open it with textedit and save it again without the suffix .txt (there is an option on the lower half of the "save as" window), then move /overwrite the file back to the original /etc folder....) |

You....... stated how to fix it...... here is why it happened..... People try to edit the hosts file, but, i save it as .txt, because I just simply click save while using Textedit |
