At last I'm qualified to comment since I picked up my iPod Shuffle today.

My thoughts - as not mentioned in this review.

Eesh - the packaging smells. It's been out for 2 hours and I can still smell plastic. I hope it wears off - defintely not Eau de Mac

It's v slow at the song transfer but that's probably because I'm spoiled by my normal iPod and Firewire. At the moment I'm thinking - just as well I got the 512 since waiting for the 1MB would be annoying

Lastly - wow, it's teeny! I must have been remembering US gum packs as much larger than UK gum packs!

ARGHHH! I am so sick of people complaining that it doesn't play WMA files like its Apple's fault. If you have an issue with it talk to Microsoft.

You mean Microsoft only has to tell Apple to support WMA playback in their iPods and they will do it?

I don't think it's Apple "fault". It is Apple's "choice".

Its true what they said about Apple making it and people swooning. I wasn't even remotely in the market for a flash player......shuffle comes out and I had to get one....and I think it's great!!

Apparently the speed isn't USB's fault entirly--it's that flash storage can't transfer as quickly as an HD player.
