Does running Geekbench @ 64 version effect your results? I use just the free version. Just curious as if it does I wanna purchase the full version.

BTW awesome score ... blows my Mac Pro 4.1 2.66 quad core with 16GB of Ram and a SSD out of the water.

Could you be persuaded to do a cinebench test as well? Cause It looks like it's the processor pull all the weight and the memory falling behind.

Yes, I notice a difference between scores of about 10% between the 32 & 64 bit versions.

Great result. When mine comes, it will have the 128gb SSD. While I'm not expecting the same results as the top end SSD, for $90 it was a great upgrade IMO until I can upgrade to a faster/larger SSD next year.

My specs below list 8GB but mine coming actually has 4GB. I'm actually doing research right now on which RAM to buy to upgrade. Will probably order from NewEgg (like always). I don't see NewerTek listed on NewEgg for 1333 speeds, but I'll keep looking around.

How reliable is this benchmark? I installed the 32 bit version and kept getting random numbers from 13,599 to 13,865 after a couple runs on my desktop.

I did the same thing. I also thought for just $90, upgrading to the SSD was a no brainer. I have an OWC in my other laptop so I am probably going to swap them out. I have 8gb of ram coming in a few days. Going to be sweet!

11K is a VERY impressive benchmark for a laptop! :D

FWIW, my 2010 MacPro 3.2Ghz gets 10K when using the 32 bit version of geekbench.

big congrats to the new MBP purchasers

Yeah, I gotcha. It looks like an old version of Geekbench (2.1.2) so it's not surprising. :D

My score goes all over the place.... Geekbench keeps giving different results...

However, stock 15" MBP 2.2ghz - I keep getting over 10k

Impressive stuff. I have a 2.66 i7 17" bought around April 2010 - it gets 4970 in the 32-bit geekbench test. Is that what would be expected for my machine or is it under performing? Has the bar been raised that much in a year?

Perfectly happy with how my MBP is performing by the way - just curious.

Yes sorry I haven't been on in a while.

For the OpenGL I got 34.73 fps
For the CPU I got 5.37 pts
