My 27" Quad Core i7 iMac goes through random waves where the volume, brightness, and media keys don't function. When I have this problem, I cannot open any applications either. I can't use the shut down functionality either... forcing me to hold the power until it shuts off, which hurts my soul to do(haha).
When I'm prompted at the login screen, I can move my mouse but if I try clicking on a user, nothing will happen. I won't be able to choose an account for a good 30 minutes. This is reoccurring issue that happens at least twice a week.
I haven't found any remedies. I tried repairing my hard drive and that didn't do anything for me. Any suggestions?
