Macbook Pro 15inch 2011 ATI 6750m Game Benchmarks

Here are some benchmarks from my new Macbook Pro 15.

I figured people would be interested in some game benchmarks under Windows 7 and to get an idea of just how well the new AMD 6750 runs .

The GPU scores are about on par with a 260mGTX which is pretty insane and the CPU score is beyond off the charts

.

Might post some more depending on the interest but again i figured there were people who wanted to see what it can do

Crysis was run at 1440x1050 on an external monitor since the benchmark program does not allow 1440x900. I ran one bench at high and the other at medium.

Resident Evil 5 All on high no AA

Just Cause 2

(I think I left v-sync on by mistake - so the score would be even better)

So yes, this is a reasonably good gaming PC in addition to having everything else you love about a Mac.

Not bad, though it is only 1440x900. Would be more interested in 1680x1050.

Yeah i wanted the lower res for the best frames when i am gaming and on a 15inch i am happy with 1440 but i know its not for everyone

Temps so far seem good but i am not obsessing over the them honestly.

These things run hotter then most laptops do and its something i have come to accept so i try to not focus on them to much since afterall if it croaks thats what the warranty is for

.

If the machine starts throttling from heat then i will become concerned

Crysis on High at 1400x1050, 20-30 fps is amazing. Would likely run even better at native res, and would fly at 720p.

You do realize that desktops have a TDP cap of over 400W compared to a laptop which is 25-35W for a chip, unless you want a wind blower to be installed or have a skillet in your lap.

Does PhysX on/off influence Vantage scores on a RADEON? I don't think so, but that CPU score seems high.

Any chance you could run 3dmark06? That program is easier for me to cross reference.

This Vantage score is very good for a single GPU solution in a thin/light PC.

This should kill StarCraft 2. That's no where near as demanding as Crysis. I can play StarCraft 2 at ease on medium @ native on last generation 13" MBP.

This. SC2 should be playable on high without any issues.

Sorry for going a little off topic, but can someone tell me if the difference between the 6490M and the 6750M will matter to my computer usage if I do not care about gaming? I would like to be able to play Blu-ray Discs and other HD video material (and edit it) and would be doing some Photoshop.

Awesome scores, thanks for the post. I'm so happy they included a gig of VRAM instead of only half in the new cards. If you have COD: Black Ops, I'd appreciate it if you tested that out as well and see what frame rates you can get (although if you played Crysis with those FR's, that's pretty damn good).

No difference playing back HD content. I imagine the IGP is taking care of that decode anyways.

For light Photoshop work, you'd probably never notice. Photoshop CS5 can take advantage of OpenGL to do some of its drawing, to do so requires a decent amount of framebuffer. The 6750M's 1GB of VRAM is virtually necessary for fluidly working with large and complex photoshop manipulations.

Is the ATI 6750m better than the ATI 4850m (iMac Late 2009)?

Hello everyone,

I would like to know whether I should switch from my iMac late 2009 (i7, 8GB Ram, 4850m, 1TB HDD) and my MacBook Air 13" Best Specs to the new MBP 15"?! I would like to know whether the 6750 is faster than the 4850 or not?! I think the 4850 is faster. What do you think/know?!
