Just FYI
OS X 10.7 Lion enabled 64-bit kernel on late 2008 MacBook 5,1 Aluminum . Looks like the restriction on non pro MacBook is lifted. Wonder if it lasts past beta...

Hi. Can you expand on what you mean by this a bit more.
Do you mean under Lion your MacBook 5,1 will now boot to 64-bit kernel where it wouldn't under Snow Leopard? I have a MacBook 5,2 which will only boot to 32-bit kernel. |
