Thumbs up NEW MAJOR FEATURE: your cam can be used in several video apps simultaneously!!!

Just tested it in iChat, FaceTime and Skype simultaneously, and all three end-users could see me.

In previous versions of OS, it would say something like "video is not available because cam is already in use by another application".

Check it out for yourself. Very neat.

Because I use Windows Live Messenger via Parallels Desktop so I can get a proper working webcam implementation. But it means that once I enable iSight in Parallels, nothing else can use it, even if it isn't being used by a Windows app.

Hoping this will enable me to use it with other things, even when Parallels is loaded. Though, I'll probably see a Blue Screen on Windows in Parallels.

Also, I found that if I had Yahoo! Messenger open and had video chatted on it recently, even when the video call ended, my webcam wouldn't work in Skype, perhaps because Yahoo! still had a grip on it? Not sure, but I had to quit Yahoo and Skype, and load Skype then Yahoo for Skype to get it.

Anyway, if more than one app can use the iSight at once, then this would no longer be an issue either.
