Same here.
I would rather drive to 3 different Best Buys in my area than stand in line at Lenox. I did it for 7 hours for iPhone 4 and I've vowed to never do it again.
Saturday availability
I'm thinking about going to the Mall of Georgia on Saturday morning, but concerned about availability. I would go on Friday, but I've gotta work. I guess the alternative is online ordering.

You did get an iPhone 4 right? After waiting so long? I waited there too and missed it. Ended up ordering online. I'm planning on taking off work at 11-noonish to get in line at lenox. there is a target nearby as a backup and also a best buy/target near lindbergh but they will probably be hit hard.
I'll probably hit the best buy near Cumberland around 5 and if they're sold out of 32gB wifi, go get an early dinner and then go over to lenox. I don't expect the lines to be nearly as bad as for the ip4, which I stood in line for 8 hours for even with reservation. I expect lenox to have the largest supply in town.

I have the iPad 64/3G and told myself I should wait to iPad3 in another year but want to play with the new one. I can see iPad1 64/3G are selling on ebay for only $500 while I paid $830 for mine in April 2010. I think if I play with the new one I won't be able to resist and will end up selling my old one to my brother for a good price (less than 500). I have so many extra cases that this is killing me. I use my Pad all of the time and couldn't sell early. I'm close to North Point Mall and may drop in after work, just to see the line and take a few pictures but will go to the Mall of GA (nearer to my home) over the weekend to really play with the thing.

I was planning on going to Lenox around 4, but as luck would have it I have to go to Alpharetta for work today, so I'm going to go by Northpoint Mall around 4:30. Lenox is an absolute madhouse on launch days. 64 GB 3g for me.

Was planning to leave the office at noon and get in line at Lenox but getting caught up at work. Also curious what the line is looking like there. Perimeter as well.
I was planning to head there around 3:00. Can you keep us updated on the line at North Point?

You must be right near me at Lenox. It isn't 200 back. More like 75. Apple employee said they expect it to triple by 3pm and that once the line reaches Bloomingdales people might not be able to get one.

I'm standing across from Swavorski so I guess I'm also in the same range as you guys (Lenox). Got here about five after noon...
FYI for the Atlanta group -- Georgia Tech bookstore had signs up earlier this week stating they'd have iPad2's today in the Apple department. I have no other info, but might be worth looking into. No telling how many tech students would be on line though vis-a-vis quantities received.
I may do a drive-by of the one near me at lunch though I have to return to work until about 4:45pm so I'll miss any ticket handout unless very few people turn up.
It sounds like the Lenox store will sell out before I can get in line, which is better than me standing in line and getting shut out. Hopefully they will restock overnight since I can be there early tomorrow.
