If it doesn't belong to Apple now their attys will be in touch with the owner shortly with a lovely letter "asking" if they may take over the domain at no extra charge.

Go For It!

If I did my research correctly, ipad14.com IS available. No time like now to plan for the future.

MacRumors to get big enhancements due to mysterious $30,000 donation?

www.iPad2.com most likely to stop redirecting hence forth.

Seems sketchy. Appears to be owned by some company in Panama. And it's strangely just a mirror of MacRumors, all the links take you ipad2.com as well.

Looks like a way to serve up MacRumors and collect their own ad money.

I bet the owner of ipad2.com is one of us, hence poking fun at us by redirecting it to our second home.

ipad2.com was registered long time ago before any IPAD appeared on the market at all from Apple or thereof that name! I see no reason why a someone wants to steal a registered domain as such. If Apple is eager to get this name Jobs will for sure fork out some $'s? there is also ipad.com they could claim which existed as well long time ago!?

Looks like they embedded MacRumors in a frame with their own ad service in a frame underneath.

The moderators are all volunteers so they don't benefit from ads on the site, but anyone is welcome to pay them compliments!

Listen folks - do not worry about this domain name at all. It was registered long time ago before APPLE announced its product. that means in 2009!!
We know the real owner of it and they are somewhere in Europe. So - APPLE nor macrumors has anything to do with it. ipad.com belongs or belonged to a cancer foundation as far as we know already in 2009 or even before.
