my iPad2 just signed up with AT&T, found an unknown cellular data number

it shows an unknown phone number as the Cellular Data Number under Account Overview. what is that phone number?

At&t uses phone numbers for accounts. Every cellular service has a phone number assigned to it. Actual phones use the phone number. Air Cards, Mifi, ipads, whatever, all have numbers assigned as thats how their internal systems recognize that device. Your IMEI number for the device is also tied with this number.
